We represent debtors, creditors, and trustees in bankruptcy cases and out of court workouts in addition to helping people and businesses buy and sell assets in bankruptcy cases. Our attorneys help businesses and individuals reorganize in chapter 11 and liquidate in chapter 7 and represent individuals in chapter 13 bankruptcy cases. We have first hand experience responding to the recently enacted provisions of the Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act of 2005.
Our years of representing debtors have taught us where to look for hidden assets and what questions to ask in order to find them. We efficiently prosecute motions for relief from automatic stay and objections to plan confirmation, as well as complaints objecting to discharge of debts, to determine the dischargeability of specific debts, and complaints to avoid and recover fraudulent and preferential transfers. That experience also enables us to prosecute preference complaints in which bankruptcy trustees, creditors’ committees, or debtors-in-possession seek to recover payments made to creditors within 90 days before a bankruptcy filing.
