Erica A. Leatham concentrates in the areas of zoning and land use, real estate taxation appeals and commercial transactions. She represents clients in zoning and land use matters before various administrative boards and commissions, including the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission Planning Board, Montgomery County Historic Preservation Commission, Board of Appeals, Sign Review Board, the City of Gaithersburg and the City of Rockville Planning Commissions. Her representation includes such matters as Site Plan, Special Exceptions, Subdivision approvals, Historic Preservation, Local Map Amendments, Zoning Text Amendments, Master Plan issues and building permit issues. Ms. Leatham has developed significant experience with agricultural uses, smart growth concepts and land use development in Rockville, Maryland.

In addition, Ms. Leatham has handled numerous real estate tax assessment appeals and has negotiated substantial tax reductions for her clients. She also drafted and settled numerous commercial and residential purchase and sale contracts, loan agreements, easements, reciprocal easement agreements and homeowner association and condominium declarations and covenants.

Ms. Leatham is a member of the Board of Directors of the Rockville Chamber of Commerce (Chair of the Legislative Affairs Committee) and is President of CREW Suburban Maryland. She is also active in the Maryland-National Capital Building Industry Association.
